A charming carousel horse and rider candle holder from the Bjorn Wiinblad studio consisting of a whimsical female figure with outstretched arms on an elegant fairground horse, hand-painted in blue on a cream white glaze. The lady’s hat doubles as a candleholder.
Signed with the Bjorn Wiinblad monogram, model number L4 and Danmark 72, the piece measures 29.5cm high by 26cm wide.

Condition
Excellent overall condition – the left foreleg of the horse has suffered a clean break which has been professionally and expertly repaired (Sarah Peek Conservation Studios, Brighton) and is now invisible to the naked eye.
