Sampson Hancock’s & Sons was founded in 1857 in Tunstall, Staffordshire. Designs were tube-lined and often resemble the work of William Moorcroft. From the end of World War I until the company’s closure in 1937, the majority of designs were the work of George Cartlidge, F.X. Abraham and Edith Gater.
Good condition – minor restoration to a small area of base rim edge, fine crazing under close inspection.
