A superb John Pearson repousse work copper casket of rectangular form with hinged cover and clasp, the cover decorated with 2 imaginary creatures whose tails rise up to form a scroll of foliage. The box front is decorated with simple flower stems with the side and rear panels remain undecorated. The copper work is attached to a wooden lining with copper nails and the piece is signed with his “JP” monogram on the back.
Excellent – structurally sound with only very minor signs of age-related wear
