Description
An unusual pair of high quality, gilded candle sconces, each decorated in relief with the head of a classical maiden set within a crescent moon with flowing scrollwork. These heavy pieces were designed to be wall hung as they have metal hooks at the rear but they could equally be placed on a table or mantelpiece. Each sconce measures 20cm high by 9.5cm wide and is signed by the artist J Tupton.

Excellent – some wear to the gilding and other minor marks consistent with age.
